- A modified French formula that contains the antibiotic Ticarcillin. E-Z Freezin™-'MFR5' requires semen to be cooled slowly to 5C (41F) prior to undergoing the freezing process. Each E-Z Freezin™ 'MFR5' lot is evaluated by the Colorado State University Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory to ensure a superior product. Sold in 15ml hermetically sealed, foil-lined packets.
- E-Z Freezin Semen Extenders are recommended for use in equine frozen semen breeding programs. Used to freeze semen in liquid nitrogen for long-term storage.
Shipping Requirements:
- For many years, E-Z Freezing frozen extenders have only been available via overnight shipments on dry ice. Recently, the staff at the Colorado State University Equine Reproduction Laboratory have determined that thawing and refreezing of this product does not decrease its effectiveness. They have tested the effect of replacing the dry ice with ice gel-packs and also with two day shipments. As long as the extender remains cool, all of these shipping options are equally effective.
- Agtech will allow at the customers request and responsibility, E-Z Freezing shipments on ice gel-packs to be shipped Monday through Thursday either overnight or two day shipping, provided the extender is not in transit for more than 2 days.
- Due to the temperature sensitivity of this product, return of E-Z Freezin™ Semen Extender is not accepted.
